ALASKA, 10 THE OFFICERS TO 21:: AHOIIHED BY' TIE C:li'!JvJON COUNCIL OF 81UD CITY FOR ThE PERIOD BdGINNING A.FRIL 18, 1927, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. Be it ordained by the Common Cou~cil of the City of Seward, Alaska: Section 1: That for the period beginninq April 18, 1927, the compensation to be paid the Municipal Officers of the City of Seward, Alaska, is hereby fixed and established by the terms and conditions hereinafter contained in this Ordinance, which compensation shall be neither increased nor diminished during said term, nor shall said officers be entitled to receive in any form or shape any other or additional compensation from said city. Section 2. The Municipal Clerk shall receive a monthly salary at the rate of ~7 5.00 per month, or $900.00 per annum. Section 3. The Municipal }Bgistrate shall receive an annual salary at the rate of $1.00 per year. Sect ion 4. Tr,e Municipal Assessor shall recei ve an annual salary at the ra te of J300.0C. Section 5. The i'ronicipal Attorney shall receive an annual salary at the rate of ~300.CO Section 6. The Municipal Health Officer shall receive an annual salary at the rate of $300.00. Section 7. The JvIunicipal Treasurer shall r'ceive a salary of $1.00 per year. Section 8. The Chief of the Fire Department shall receive an annual salary at the rate of $1200.00. Section 9. The Chief of Police shall receive an annual salary at the rate of $1200.00. Section 10. Each of the salaries herein provided for shall be paid out of the general fund of the City of Seward and shall be paid monthly. The Common Council shall, at its first meeting in each month approve and order paid the salaries of all of the above named officers for the preceeding manU, and the proper warrant shall be drawn on the Treasurer for the payment of such officer. Section 11. An emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Ordinance shall take effect i~mediately upon its passage and approval. ate of the Council. This ordinance was not recorded in the minutes, and no copy can be found. It was given the third reading at the Meeting of June 6, 1927 and adopted by vote of the Common Council.
