AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE COLLECTION OF TAXES
AGAINST PERSONAL PROPERTY IN THE TOWN OF SEWARD, ALASKA.

ASSESSED
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUMON COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF SEWARD:
Section 1. The owner of personal property assessed under the
general tax ordinances of the town of Seward shall be personally liable
for the amount of the taxes assessed against his personal property,
and such tax, together with penalty and interest, may be collected
after the same becomes due in a personal action brought in the name of
the town of Seward against such owner in the oourts of the Territory
as provided in Seotion 61 of Chapter 97 of the Session Laws of Alaska
for 1923.
Section 2. The remedy given by the prededing section shall not
be construed as exclusive, but shall be in addition to any other
remedy given by law and the ordinances of the said town of Seward; and
the remedy hereinabove provided shall be applicable to the collection
of taxes now due as well as those which hereafter may become due.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage and approval, and shall be pUblished once
in the Seward Daily Gateway.
