AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AN AMENDATORY LOAN
AND GRANT AGREEMENT WITH RESPECT TO THE LOAN AND GRANT
AGREEMENT DATED JULY 2, 1936 NOW nr FORCE BETWEEN THE
WITED STATES OF AMERICA AND THE TOWN OF SEWARD, ALAS-
KA, AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF SUCH AMENDATORY
LOAN AND GRANT A~1U~NT, AND DECLARING
AN EMBRGENCY.

BE IT ORDAINED By 'the Conuaon Counc 11 of the Town of Seward,
Alaska a
Section 1. That the Amendatory Loan and Grant Agree-
ment lIhich does modify in several particulars, as specifically
set forth in such Amendatory Loan and Grant Agreement, the
terms, provisions and conditions of that certain Loan and Grant
Agreement 6! JUly 2, 1936 now in force between the United
states of America and the Town of Seward, Alaska, a copy of
whleh Amendatory Loan and Grant Agreement is filed among the
public records of the Town of Seward, Alaska in the office of
its Town Clerk, and by reference thereto made a part of this
ordinance to the same extent as if the same were set forth at
length in words and figures herein, be and the same is hereby
in all respects approved, ratified and confirmed.
~ection a. That the Mayor of the Town of Seward,
Alaska be and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute
such Amendatory Loan and Grant Agreement in three counterparts
on behalf of said Town, and the Town Clerk be and he is hereby
authorized and directed to impress or affix the official seal
of said Town to each of said three counterparts of said Amen-
datory Loan and Grant Agreement, and to duly attest such seal.
section 3. That the said Mayor be and he is hereby
authorized and directed to forthwith forward said executed
three counterparts of said Amendatory Loan and Grant Agreement

to the Federal Emergency Administration of Public \forks, Wash-
ington, D. C.
Section 4. That the Mayor and Town Clerk of said Town
of Seward, Alaska be and they are hereby authorized, empowered
and directed to do and perform any and every and all acts and
things and to make and execute on behalf of said Town of Seward
and under its corporate seal, any and all instruments, docu-
menta and other commitments that may be required, necessary,
or found desirable in connection with the modification and
changea established by said Amendatory Loan and Grant Agree-
ment; provided, however, that the authority heretofore grant-
ed to said Mayor and Town Clerk with respect to the said Loan
and Grant Agre.me nt dated July 2, 1936, shall otherwise be and
remain in full force and effect.
Section 5. That the said Mayor be and he is hereby
authorized and directed to forthwith send said Federal Emer-
gency Adninistration of Public Works two certified copies of
said Ordinance and two certified copies of the proceedings of
the Common Council in connection with the adoption of this Or-
dinance and such further documents or proofs in connection with
the approval or execution of said Loan and "ant Agreement aa
may be requested by said Federal Emergency Administration of
Public Works.
Section 6. That an emergency is hereby declared to
exist and this Ordinance shall take effect upon it s passage
and approval.
