ORDINANCE No. 152
AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE SALE OF INTOXICATING
BEVERAGES TO PERSONS IN THE SERVICE AND UNIFORW
OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA DURING CERTAIN
HOURS.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF SEWARD. ALASK+:
Section 1. If any person. persons. partnership, fir. or
corporation, shall sell, furnish, or in any way provide
any intoxicatin8 beverage. malt, vinous, or other, or
spirituous liquor, to any person. or persons. in the
service and uniform, of the Army, Navy, Marines, or
Coast Guard, of the United States of America, except
between the hours of six o'clock P.M. and ten o'clock
P.W., such person or persons. firm, corporation or
partnership, shall upon conviction thereof. beedeemea
guilty of a misdemeanour, and shall be punished by a
fine of not more than One Hundred Dollars, or by im-
prisonment in the Munic.1pal Ja11, for not more than
90 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
Section 2. An emergency is hereby declared to exist,
and this ordinance shall take effect immediately on and
from its date of passage and approval.
Passed and approved under suspension of the rules thia
19th day of January, 1942.
