B. That Section Tio. 4 of Ordinance number 162 is hereby
amended to read as follows:
That the following named motor vehicles owned and operated
by the residents and citizens of the City of Seward, ...laska, such as
pleasure automobiles, buses, trucks, motorcycles, taxi cabs, com-
mercial delivery trucks and driver's licenses shall on and after the
date of the adoption and passage of this amended ordinance, be
eliminated from the assessment rolls of personal property, and shall
not be taxed as personal property.
G. That on and after July 1, 1949, each resident, citizen
and tax payer of the City of Seward, Alaska, who owns anyone or more
of the following named motor vehicles shall in lieu of paying personal
property tax thereon, obtain from the City Clerk and pay for a City
Auto Tax IHndshield Tag or City 'lax .b.uto License Elate; one or the
other method to be adopted at the pleasure of the City Council at the
following prices, and such taxes shall become delinquent on ~ugust 1,
lS49, and each and every year hereafter:
(1) Pleasure .i~utomobiles .;f20.00 per Bnnum
( 2) Buses 35.00 per annum
( 3) Trucks GNP.. 701'1 v;"l 35.00 per annum
( 4) Motorcycles 10 . 00 per annum
( 5) Taxi Cabs 25.00 per annum
( 6l Commercial 1elivery 'Irucks 25.00 per annum
,- (7 ) Driver's 1icense 1.00 per annum,

.b.n applicrolt who applies for a Vehicle License ~ax after
January 1st of any year may pay one-half the yearly vehicle tax, and
receive same good to June 30th of that year.
This .b.ppeal Ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force and effect from 8nd after the date of its passage and approval.
Passed under suspension of the rules ~nd approved by the
Gommon Council of the City of Seward this A'~ day of May, 1949.

And in addition thereto the City may enforce the collection
of real estate taxes after they become delinquent by a Civil Personal
.b.ction in the hmnicipal Court or other court of competent jurisdiction,
and assess costs and expenses as is provided for in the Municipal
Court Act.
This Appeal Ordinance shell take effect and be in full
force and effect from and after the date of its passage and approval.
