RESOLUTION 2000-061
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, INCREASING THE LEGAL BUDGET FOR THE ELECTRIC
ENTERPRISE FUND FROM $15,000 TO $40,000 FOR THE 2000 BUDGET
TO COVER UNANTICIPATED LEGAL EXPENSES.
WHEREAS, several unanticipated legal expenses for the Electric Department Enterprise fund
have caused the 2000 budgeted amount of$15,000 to be exceeded by $4,085 YTD; and
WHEREAS, estimated expenses for the balance of the year are estimated to be approximately
$20,000; and
WHEREAS, sufficient funds are available from the Electric Department Retained Earnings
to fund this increase in budget;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to transfer $25,000 from the Electric Fund
Retained Earnings Account 501-0000-3050 to Account 501-5400-5170, Legal.
Section 2.
This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 12th day
ofJune, 2000.
