ORDINANCE NO. 26
An Ordinance providing for the improvement of Washington
Street from Second Avenue to Fifth Avenue, and providing for
paymentiassessment upon the abutting lote or parcels of land.

Be it Ordained by the Common Council of the Town of Seward:
SEmTION 1. That Washington Street in the Town of Seward
be improved from Second Avenue to Fifth Aven~e by construcjing
a plank walk thereon on the north side thereof; and alao the
necessary cross-walks therefor, according to the plans and speci-
fications in the office of the City Enginer.
SECTION 8 That an assessment be levied and collected
upon the abutting lots and parcels of land as provided by Ordinance
to defray the cost and expence of said improvement, which assess-
ment shall be a lien upon the property liable therefor.
SECTION 3 The City Engineer is hereby authorized and
direct~d forthwith to enter upon and complete said improvements
by day labor.
