RFSOWTION NO. 86m45
A RESOWTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, TO KLIJ:JiJ A CAMPER FOR SECURITY AT A
CONSTRUCTION SITE
WHEREAS, AI.;l>C,C() (Alaska hjgregate Corporation) has an agree-
ment to operate a concrete batch plant on City property in the Seward
Marine Industrial Center to provide concrete for the prison construction
site; and
WHEREAS, the location is easily accessible to unauthorized
persons and vehicles and cannot be made secure; and
WHEREAS, the site contains various items of tools and equip-
ment attractive to vandals and thieves; and
WHEREAS, Chapter 21 of the Sew'ard City Code permits one travel
trailer on a construction site for teJlllOrary living or as a work space
for a period not-to-exceed 90 days; and
WHEREAS, it my be necessary for the batch plant to operate
longer than 90 days;
NCW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY 'IRE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. AIAGCO will be permitted to allow one employee to
occupy on fully self-contained camper on the site to provide security
for tools and equiprrent while the plant is producing concrete for
construction of the prison.
Section 2. AIAGCO will pay to the City the latest established
daily camping fee for the period the camper is occupying the site.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect irmrediately upon
its adoption.
