<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Sponsored by: Janke <br /> <br />CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA <br />RESOLUTION 2000-077 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, <br />ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO IMPLEMENT THE <br />SEW ARD MARINE INDUSTRIAL CENTER UPLAND BOAT WORKS <br />POLICY AS REVISED <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Seward City Council approved adoption of the Seward Marine Industrial <br />Center Upland Boat Work Policy at their June 26, 2000 regular meeting; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the policy was brought forward for reconsideration at the July 10,2000 regular <br />meeting where the motion to reconsider failed; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Seward City Council desired minor revisions to the policy which include <br />deleting the reference to the percentage of hull replacement and rephrasing the duty of the <br />Harbormaster to state that he will determine what constitutes maintenance and repair versus major <br />construction activities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Seward City Council directed the administration to reschedule the policy <br />as revised for the June 24, 2000 regular meeting agenda: <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to implement the Seward Marine Industrial <br />Center Upland Boat Works Policy as revised, in substantial form as attached hereto, and to make <br />such changes to the attached policy as necessary to finalize the policy but without changing the <br />substantive terms as described in the attached policy. <br /> <br />Section 2. The Administration has forty-five days prior to implementing this policy. <br /> <br />Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption. <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Seward, Alaska, this 24 day <br />of July, 2000. <br /> <br />THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA <br />elL, /ttZ,Xd..t J <br />Edgar Blatchford, Mayor <br />
