<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Sponsored by: Janke <br /> <br />CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA <br />RESOLUTION 2000-115 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, <br />ALASKA, APPROVING THE ADDITION OF E FLOAT TO TRANSPAC <br />MARINAS, INCORPORATED'S MATERIAL SUPPLY CONTRACT FORAN <br />AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $876,368.80 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on September 6,2000, the Port and Commerce Advisory Board (pACAB) <br />considered an administration proposal to sell a revenue bond to fund E float replacement during the <br />scheduled Small Boat Harbor Repair and Renovation Capital Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the bond would be paid using a passenger tariff assessed to all businesses <br />carrying passengers for hire out of the Seward Small Boat Harbor; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, recognizing the needs of smaller businesses, the P ACAB recommended to City <br />Council a bond of $3 million to replace E float and build two fish cleaning stations; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on September 11, 2000, the City Council passed two resolutions; the first <br />(2000-093) approving a change to the Port and Harbor Tariff instituting a Passenger Fee and the <br />second (2000-094) authorizing the sale ofa $3 million bond to fund replacement ofE float and to <br />build two fish cleaning stations; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on July 28, 2000 the City Council passed Resolution 2000-075 authorizing <br />Transpac Marinas Incorporated (Transpac) to provide concrete floats for the Small Boat Harbor <br />Repair and Renovation Capital Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Transpac provided an add alternative with it's proposal to add E float to the <br />contract; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this proposal would be added to the current contract for an amount not to <br />exceed $876,368.80; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE 11 MESOL VED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SEWARD, ALASKA, tBat: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to issue Change Order Number 2 to the <br />existing contract with Transpac Marinas, Incorporated, and issue appropriate Notice(s) to <br />Proceed for the supply ofE float sections. <br /> <br />Section 2. The amount of this change order is not to exceed $876,368.80. <br />
