<br />. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Sponsored by: Janke <br /> <br />CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA <br />RESOLUTION 2000-122 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, <br />ALASKA, APPROVING CHANGE 2 TO TRANSPAC MARINAS, <br />INCORPORATED'S MATERIAL SUPPLY CONTRACT, PURCHASE <br />ORDER 25273, ADDING ADDITIONAL CLEATS TO 32 FOOT SLIP <br />FINGERS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on July 28, 2000 the City Council passed Resolution 2000-075 authorizing <br />Transpac Marinas Incorporated (Transpac) to provide concrete floats for the Small Boat Harbor <br />Repair and Renovation Capital Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on August 22, 2000, the City of Seward entered in to a Material Supply <br />Contract with Transpac Marinas, Incorporated (Transpac) to supply concrete floats for the Small <br />Boat Harbor Repair and Renovation Capital Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, subsequent to this agreement, Transpac provided shop drawings for the <br />concrete float sections, slip finger detail, utility layout and cleat placement; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Tryck Nyman Hayes, Incorporated (TNH), the City of Seward and customers <br />provided a comprehensive review of these shop drawings; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, during this review, customers stated a desire to have a minimum offour <br />cleats per side of each 32-foot slip finger versus the three shown in the shop drawings and TNH, <br />the City and Transpac agree this would be an improvement that benefits the customer; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the addition of approximately twenty cleats adds $1220.00 to the cost of the <br /> <br />floats; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to issue Change Order Number 2 to the existing <br />contract with Transpac Marinas, Incorporated, to provide four cleats per side of the 32-foot slip <br />fingers for an amount not to exceed $1220.00. <br /> <br />Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption. <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 9th day <br />of October 2000. <br />
