<br />City of Seward, Alaska <br />January 3, 2006 <br /> <br />Planning Commission Minutes <br />Volume 6, Page 1 <br /> <br />Call to order <br /> <br />The January 3, 2006 regular meeting of the Seward Planning & Zoning Commission was <br />called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Marianna Keil, Chair. <br /> <br />Opening Ceremony <br /> <br />Commissioner Smith led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />There were present: <br /> <br />Marianna Keil presiding, and <br />Carol Griswold Lynn Hohl <br />Sandie Roach' Tom Smith <br />Kay Strobel Sue Banas <br /> <br />comprising a quorum of the Commission; and <br /> <br />Clark Corbridge, City Manager <br />Malcolm Brown, Planner <br />Donna Glenz, Planning Assistant <br /> <br />City Administration Report <br /> <br />Planner, Malcolm Brown updated the Commission on the following business items: <br /> <br />~ Department of Natural Resources approved a Historic Preservation CLG grant for <br />work in the Hoben Park based on several conditions. The Commission and staff <br />continue to work on those conditions. <br />~ Staff was working on submitting a memorandum of understanding between the Kenai <br />Watershed Forum, the Seward Bear Creek Flood Service Area the City of Seward <br />and the Kenai Peninsula Borough to upgrade the flood mapping on the eastern side of <br />the Peninsula. <br />~ Brown noted staff continued to work on the replat for City owned land Lot 1, Block 6 <br />Seward Small Boat Harbor. <br />~ The appraiser was scheduled to be in Seward January 4,2006 regarding the City <br />owned Tract H, Fourth of July Subdivision, Roberts Subdivision. <br />~ Airport Master Plan continued to be on hold until the hydrologist returned from <br />working the Katrina disaster in the lower 48. <br />~ The topic for the January 17,2006 work session needed to be chosen. <br /> <br />qfY M~n'hr, f:'tri'- Cprba1dlll. prQSUnWp the Commission with UJ$WIl frOll} fue a4mirpslAfipn. <br />
