Sponsored by: Planning and Zoning Commission <br />CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA <br />RESOLUTION 2009-040 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE SEWARD CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SEWARD, ADOPTING THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />PRIORITIES FROIVI APRIL 2009 TO APRIL 2010 <br />WHEREAS, at the April 7, 2009 meeting the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />reviewed their Priorities List; and <br />WHEREAS, the Seward City Council Rules of Procedure, adopted March 14, 1994, state <br />that the Council should meet in an annual joint work session with the Commission to address <br />areas of mutual concern; and <br />WHEREAS, the Commission and Council held a joint work session, reviewed and <br />updated the Planning and Zoning Priorities List on April 8, 2008; and <br />WHEREAS, at the May 7, 2009 meeting the Planning and Zoning Commission reviewed <br />and recommended Council adoption of the 2009 Planning and Zoning Priority List. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA that: <br />Section 1. The following List of Priorities is hereby adopted: <br />PRIORITIES <br />1) Continue recruitment efforts for the Planning and Zoning Commission. <br />2) Rewrite of Title 15 <br />3) Update the Municipal Lands Management Plan (1995) in conjunction with the Capital <br />Improvement Plan and the City Land Disposal Policies and Procedures <br />4) Continue to pursue compliance with the Seward City Zoning Code <br />5) Meet with Port and Cotmnerce Advisory Board to discuss the South Harbor Uplands <br />6) Waterfront Park Replat -2010 <br />7) Two Lakes Park Replat <br />8) Nash Road Bench Study- as funding allows <br />
