City of Seward, Alaska City Council Minutes <br /> November 2, 2011 Volume 38, Page 700 <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> The November 2, 2011 special meeting of the Seward City Council was called to order at 5:30 p.m. <br /> by Vice Mayor Jean Bardarson. <br /> OPENING CEREMONY <br /> Police Lieutenant Tiner led the pledge of allegiance to the flag. <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> There were present: <br /> Jean Bardarson presiding and Marianna Keil <br /> Vanta Shafer Christy Terry <br /> Bob Valdatta* Ristine Casagranda <br /> *arrived at 5:38 pm <br /> comprising a quorum of the Council; and <br /> Jim Hunt, City Manager <br /> Johanna Kinney, City Clerk <br /> Absent — Mayor Seaward <br /> CITIZENS' COMMENTS ON ANY SUBJECT EXCEPT THOSE ITEMS SCHEDULED <br /> FOR PUBLIC HEARING <br /> Carol Griswold spoke how this meeting should be televised and her concerns in finding this <br /> information ahead of time and concerns with the existing priorities across the bay. <br /> Ron Long said PACAB met today and they appreciated the legislative priorities coming their <br /> way for review. He hoped staff would develop explanations as to why these items were a priority in <br /> some way or form. <br /> Bob Linville said the harbor should be friendlier to commercial boats. They were lacking a <br /> crane in the harbor. He suggested they put it on a priority list. <br /> APPROVAL OF AGENDA AND CONSENT AGENDA <br /> Motion (Keil /Shafer) Approval of Agenda and Consent Agenda <br /> Motion Passed Unanimous <br /> SPECIAL ORDERS, PRESENTATIONS AND REPORTS <br />
