Sponsored by: Hunt <br /> fir= CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA <br /> RESOLUTION 2012 -020 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, <br /> ALASKA, APPROVING AN ENGINEERING CONTRACT WITH PND <br /> ENGINEERS IN THE AMOUNT OF $60,352.50 FOR A VESSEL WASH - <br /> DOWN AND WASTEWATER RECYCLING FACILITY AT THE SEWARD <br /> MARINE INDUSTRIAL CENTER <br /> WHEREAS, the Seward Harbor Department has received grant funding to design a Vessel <br /> Wash -Down and Wastewater Recycling Facility (VWDWRF); and <br /> WHEREAS, the Seward City Council on January 9, 2012 approved the grant that requires a <br /> professional design engineer; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City issued a public notice on January 13, 2012 soliciting proposals from <br /> qualified firms; and <br /> WHEREAS, PND Engineers was chosen as the best qualified firm and they have executed a <br /> contract to provide engineering services. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF SEWARD, ALASKA that: <br /> Section 1. The City Manager shall execute an engineering contract with PND Engineering <br /> for the professional design engineering of the Vessel Wash -Down and Wastewater Recycling <br /> Facility. <br /> Section 2. Funds in the amount of $60,352.50 were appropriated by Resolution 2012 -05 and <br /> are available in account no 278 - 2781 -5390. <br /> Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately. <br /> PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Seward, Alaska, this 12 day of <br /> March 2012. <br />
