CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA <br /> RESOLUTION 2012 -061 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, <br /> ALASKA, ENTERING INTO AN ADDITIONAL TWO MONTH LEASE <br /> EXTENSION WITH THE UNITED STATES COAST GUARD TO <br /> ACCOMMODATE THE RELOCATION FROM 1320 FOURTH AVENUE, A <br /> PORTION OF BLOCK 6 SMALL BOAT HARBOR REPLAT TO 1507 X- <br /> FLOAT ROAD, LOT 4A -2, BLOCK 2 MARINA SUBDIVISION, COAST <br /> GUARD REPLAT <br /> WHEREAS, the United States Coast Guard (USCG) had planned in early 2011 to relocate in <br /> the spring of 2011; and <br /> WHEREAS, by July 2012 the USCG has just started their construction at the new site on the <br /> foundation provided by the City; and <br /> WHEREAS, the USCG has notified the City that they would like to extend their tenancy for <br /> two months until the end of the federal fiscal year plus options to extend an additional eight months; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, having the USCG office location in the Seward Harbor is of benefit to the City <br /> of Seward. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF SEWARD, ALASKA that: <br /> Section 1. The City of Seward hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into an additional <br /> two month extension with options to extend an additional eight months. <br /> Section 2. This resolution shall take effect in 30 days. <br />
