Sponsored by: Hunt <br /> CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA <br /> RESOLUTION 2014-042 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, <br /> ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A <br /> SHORT TERM LEASE AGREEMENT WITH RAIBOW FIBERGLASS AND <br /> BOAT REPAIR, LLC FOR ADDITIONAL LAND AT THE SEWARD <br /> MARINE INDUSTRIAL CENTER <br /> WHEREAS, the City and Raibow Fiberglass and Boat Repair, LLC executed a lease <br /> effective August 1, 2013; and <br /> WHEREAS, Raibow needs to use additional vacant land at the Seward Marine Industrial <br /> Center (SMIC); and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Manager has negotiated an agreement to add land to the existing lease <br /> under the provisions of Seward City Code 7.05.410; and <br /> WHEREAS, the lease request is consistent with the Comprehensive Plan and the Seward <br /> Marine Industrial Center Plan. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF SEWARD, ALASKA that: <br /> Section 1. The Council approves the agreement to add approximately 11,400 square feet to <br /> the existing lease. The term of the agreement shall not exceed 120 days(July 25,2014). There shall <br /> be no renewal options. <br /> Section 2. The City Manager is authorized to execute the agreement with Raibow Fiberglass <br /> and Boat Repair, LLC. <br /> Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately. <br /> PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Seward, Alaska, this 28111 day of <br /> April, 2014. <br /> irm <br />
