City of Seward,Alaska City Council Minutes <br /> May 11, 2015 Volume 39, Page 529 <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> The May 11, 2015 regular meeting of the Seward City Council was called to order at 7:00 <br /> p.m. by Mayor Jean Bardarson. <br /> OPENING CEREMONY <br /> Police Chief Tom Clemons led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> There were present: <br /> Jean Bardarson presiding and <br /> Marianna Keil Ristine Casagranda <br /> Christy Terry David Squires <br /> Dale Butts Iris Darling <br /> comprising a quorum of the Council; and <br /> Ron Long, Assistant City Manager <br /> Johanna Kinney, City Clerk <br /> Absent—None <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS ON ANY SUBJECT EXCEPT THOSE ITEMS SCHEDULED FOR <br /> PUBLIC HEARING <br /> Tim McDonald said there were swan nests at Mile 1 of Nash Road again this year. He said <br /> it looked like a promising fishing season as a large concentration of red salmon was spotted across <br /> the bay. McDonald stated he was looking forward to the City Manager's report on the sewage <br /> lagoon dredging project at Seward Marine Industrial Center(SMIC)and Lowell Point,as well as the <br /> status of the broken 330-Ton Travelift. <br /> APPROVAL OF AGENDA AND CONSENT AGENDA <br /> Motion (Keil/Terry) Approval of Agenda and Consent Agenda <br /> Vice Mayor Keil added Resolutions 2015-043 and 2015-044 to the consent agenda with no objection <br /> from council. <br /> Motion Passed Unanimous <br /> The clerk read the following approved consent agenda items: <br /> Resolution 2015-041, Adopting The Revised 2014-15 Historic Preservation Commission <br /> Priorities. <br />
