<br />r <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 6$ <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the city council of the city of Seward Alaska having heretofore <br />determined to make the improvement known as the Seward Sewer <br />Project, and having determined to assess the real property <br />benefited by such improvement to an amount equal to two-thirds <br />of the cost thereof, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said improvement has now been completed and a correct account <br />has been kept of all the expenses of such improvement, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said city council has examined the assessment roll, containing <br />a brief description or designation of each tract of property bene- <br />fited by said improvement, the name of the owner or reputed owner <br />thereof, and the amount of the assessment, assessed against the <br />various tracts of real estate in proportion to the benefit received <br />by each in an amount equal to two-thirds of the cost thereof, <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Common Council of the City <br />of Seward, Alaska, that: <br /> <br />(1) Two-thirds of the cost of said improvement be, and hereby is, <br />assessed against the various tracts of real estate in proportion <br />to the benefit received by each, as set forth 10 the assessment <br />roll. <br /> <br />(2) The said council will hear objections to such assessments on <br />the 7th day of September, 1954, in the Council chambers of the <br />City Hall, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock, P. M., at which time all <br />persons concerned shall have a right to present their objectlOns <br />if any they have to the assessment or any part thereof and to <br />point out errors and inequalities if any exist and submit such <br />reasons for amendments and corrections as they may have. <br /> <br />(3) The municipal clerk shall send a written notice by mail to each <br />owner of a tract against which an assessment is made, which <br />notice shall state the amount of the assessment against such <br />particular tract and the time fixed by the council for hearing <br />objections.
