OF S2wARD FINDING THAT <br />TEL PUBLIC RECORDS SHOULD BE CLAJ:(IFIED AND AUTri- <br />ORIZING A CXJRRECTIVE QUITCLAIM DEED IN FAVOR OF <br />ALICE A. BRaw~ELL CONTAINING A MORE ACCURATE DES- <br />C~IPTION OF REAL PROPERTY HERETOFORE CO~VEYED TO <br />HER BY THi CITY OF SE'wARD. <br /> <br />WEE~EAS, during the month of July 1934 the City of Seward did convey to <br />Alice A. Brownell a parcel of land situated within the City of Seward and <br />being a part of the Brownell Homestead, and <br /> <br />WnEREAS, said conveyance was effected by a deed which is of record in the <br />office of the U. S. Commissioner and Ex-Officio Recorder for the Seward Record- ; <br />ing Precinct in Book 14 of Deeds at page 135 of the records of said office, <br />and <br /> <br />)~hEREAS, it appears that the description contained in said deed is now <br />deemed insufficient to satisfactorily describe the parcel of land conveyed <br />thereby, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a survey of the said parcel has now been made by a licensed <br />surveyor and an accurate description of said parcel has now been developed, <br />and <br /> <br />W1ffiREAS, it appears highly desirable that the official record be rendered <br />more accurate, in the public interest, by causing the said accurate description <br />to be placed of record, and <br /> <br />J*iEREAS, the logical procedure to correct the record is to issue a correct <br />ive Quitclaim deed to Alice A. Brownell incorporating the said accurate des- <br />cription in order that said corrective deed may be placed of record. <br /> <br />NC>>I, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED and it is hereby resolved that the Mayor <br />be instructed and authorized and he is hereby instructed and authorized to <br />execute a corrective Quitclaim Deed from the City of Seward to Alice A. <br />Brownell containing the following accurate description of the parcel of land <br />previously conveyed by the aforesaid deed: <br /> <br />"All that certain real property located in the Seward Record- <br />ing Precinct of the Third Division of Alaska, described as follows: <br /> <br />Commencing at a stone monument marked Corner 4, S 726 N, Corner <br />6 Federal Addition, Seward, Alaska; Thence South 890 58' West 15.36 <br />feet; Thence South 000 02' 30" West l628.29 feet along the West line <br />of First Avenue to the Point of Beginning, Corner #1; Thence North <br />890 57' 30" West 600.00 feet to the Northwest Corner; Thence South <br />000 02' 30" West 300.00 feet to the Southwest Corner; Thence South <br />890 57' 30" East 300.00 feet to Corner #3; Thence South 440 57' 30" <br />East 424.26 feet to Corner #4; Thence North 000 02' 30" East 600.00 <br />feet along the West line of First Avenue to Corner #1, the Point of <br />Beginning.
