<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Sponsored by: Janke <br /> <br />CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA <br />RESOLUTION 2001-068 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF mE CITY OF SEWARD, <br />ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN <br />AGREEMENT WITH STORM CHASERS, INCORPORATED TO <br />COMPLETE mE SMALL BOAT HARBOR FISH CLEANING STATIONS <br />FOR AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $138,147.43 FOR mE BASE BID <br />AND $25,725 FOR A POTABLE WATER SYSTEM, PLUS A 20% <br />INCENTIVE TO HAVE mESE PORTIONS OF mE PROJECT <br />COMPLETED BY JULY 15, AND AWARDING THE ELECTRICAL POWER <br />& LIGHTING SYSTEM ALTERNATIVE IN mE AMOUNT OF $23,100 <br /> <br />WHEREAS; bids for the completion of two fish cleaning stations were received and opened <br />on May 10, 2001; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there were three bidders; Stonn Chasers, Incorporated, Blazy Construction and <br />Swalling Construction Company, Incorporated; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the apparent low bidder at opening was Stonn Chasers, Incorporated; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, staff and Tryck Nyman Hayes, Incorporated (TNH) reviewed this bid for <br />responsiveness and responsibility and the bid was found to be both responsive and responsible; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, TNH and staff recommend award of the fish station completion contract to <br />Stonn Chasers, Incorporated for an amount not to exceed $138,147.43. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that: <br /> <br />Section L The City Manager is authorized to enter into an agreement with Stonn Chasers, <br />Incorporated for completion of the two fish cleaning stations for an amount not to exceed <br />$13 8,147.43, funded from the Small Boat Harbor Repair and Renovation Capital Project 315 <br />Account, and authorizing $25,725 for a Potable Water System, plus a 20% incentive to have these <br />portions of the project completed by July 15, 2001, with funding in the amount of $58,499.48 <br />appropriated from the Harbor Enterprise Fund retained earnings account number 401-0000-3050 to <br />the Small Boat Harbor Repair and Renovation Capital Project transfers in account number 315-0000- <br />3070-0000. <br /> <br />Section 2. The City Manger is authorized to award Stonn Chasers, Incorporated the <br />Electrical Power and Lighting System Alternative in the amount of $23,100 and appropriates $23,100 <br />from the Harbor Enterprise Fund retained earnings account number 401-0000-3050 to the <br />
