<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Sponsored by: Reilly <br /> <br />CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA <br />RESOLUTION 2001-085 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, <br />ALASKA, AMENDING THE EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT WITH THE <br />CITY CLERK <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Patrick Reilly has been employed by the City of Seward Council as the City <br />Clerk since August 27, 1997; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Clerk does not participate in standard employee step increases or cost <br />ofliving allowances (COLA) as outlined in the Seward City Code, and any increase in pay must be <br />by an amendment to the employment agreement; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Clerk has not received a step increase, or a cost of living allowance, <br />to his employment agreement since January 1,2000; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on March 28, 2001, Reilly was designated a Certified Municipal Clerk with the <br />International Institute of Municipal Clerks; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Reilly just completed a year as chair ofthe Education and Local Government <br />Committee of the Alaska Municipal League; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Reilly received a laudable evaluation from the City Council at his evaluation <br />session on June 25,2001; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in view of these accomplishments the City Council desires to increase Reilly's <br />salary by 3 percent and to increase his annual leave accrual rate time from sixteen and two-thirds <br />hours per month (two hundred hours per year) to twenty hours per month (two hundred and forty <br />hours per year); <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that: <br /> <br />Section 1. The employment agreement dated August 27, 1997, between Patrick Reilly and <br />the City of Seward is amended as follows: <br /> <br />Reilly shall be paid at the rate of$54,350.00. The City Council agrees <br />to review Reilly's salary annually prior to the adoption of the City's <br />fiscal budget; and <br />
