<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Sponsored by: Janke <br /> <br />CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA <br />RESOLUTION 2001-101 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, <br />ALASKA, APPROPRIATING $38,033 OF STATE REVENUE SHARING <br />MONIES FOR THE HEALTH FACILITIES WITHIN THE CITY OF SEWARD <br />AND AUTHORIZING PAYMENT TO THOSE HEALTH FACILITIES BASED <br />UPON THE STATE REVENUE SHARING ALLOCATION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The Alaska Revenue Sharing program provides operating funds to <br />qualified municipalities and boroughs each fiscal year; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a portion of the Alaska Revenue Sharing monies are based on health <br />facilities within the City of Seward and those monies must be expended for health care; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, State law requires Revenue Sharing monies for hospitals not operated <br />by the municipality to be passed through to the hospital; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council to pass through Revenue Sharing <br />monies for other health facilities, based on the State Revenue Sharing allocation, directly <br />to those health facilities. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that: <br /> <br />Section 1. State Revenue Sharing monies for the health facilities within the City of <br />Seward in the amount of $38,033 be appropriated based upon the revenue sharing <br />allocation from the State Revenue Sharing, account no. 101-0000-4350-0141 to <br />Providence Seward Medical Center, account no. 101-1191-5610-0011 in the amount of <br />$9,190; to Wesley Rehabilitation & Care Center, account no. 101-1191-5610-0012 in the <br />amount of $20,920; and to Seaview Community Services, account no. 101-1191-5610- <br />1187 in the amount of $7,923. <br /> <br />Section 2. The city manager is authorized to transfer state revenue sharing monies <br />to Providence Seward Medical Center in the amount of $9, 190, to Wesley Rehabilitation & <br />Care Center in the amount of $20,920 and to Seaview Community Services in the amount <br />of $7,923. <br /> <br />Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption. <br />
