<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Sponsored by: ~ <br /> <br />CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA <br />RESOLUTION 2001-122 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, <br />ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A <br />CONTRACT WITH THOMAS DEVEWPMENT, INC. TO INSTALL EIGHT <br />HYDRANTS IN THE CITY OF SEWARD AT A COST NOT-TO-EXCEED <br />$38,800. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Seward issued a request for bids to install eight fire hydrants (6 <br />provided by the contractor and 2 provided by the City) and received three replies; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the low bidder was Thomas Development, an Anchorage based company, with <br />a bid of$38,800.00; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, these hydrants are important to the fire safety and insurance rating of the <br />citizens of our community. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to enter into a contract with Thomas <br />Development, Inc. to install 8 fire hydrants for an amount not-to exceed $38,800.00. <br /> <br />Section 2. Funding for this project to be from Fire Hydrant Phase II, Contracted Services, <br />Account 708-7080-5930. <br /> <br />Section 3.
