<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Sponsored by: ~ <br /> <br />CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA <br />RESOLUTION 2001-129 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, <br />ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PARTICIPATE IN <br />THE COST OF THE ALASKA RR SEWER AND WATER LINE EXPAN- <br />SIONS TO ENHANCE THE ABILITY OF THE CITY TO EXPAND THE <br />SEWER SYSTEM TO THE AIRPORT AND OTHER PROPERTY TO THE <br />NORTH OF THE RR DOCK. COST OF TillS PARTICIPATION TO THE <br />CITY OF SEWARD IS $14,000. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Alaska Railroad is installing a pump station and a 4" forced main to tie their <br />existing sewage system to the City of Seward system; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the difference in price in installing the 4" forced main on Port Avenue, and <br />installing a 16" main on Port Avenue, under the RR tracks to a manhole on the east side of the tracks, <br />is $14,000; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the total cost for making the two changes to the Rail Road installation as <br />requested by the City of Seward, is $14,000. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to pay the Alaska Railroad $14,000 as the <br />difference in cost between installing a 4' forced main to our manhole on Port Avenue, and installing <br />a gravity fed 16" DIP and an additional manhole. <br /> <br />Section 2. Financing to be from the Water and Sewer Enterprise Fund Infrastructure Costs <br />Account in the Fiscal Year 2001 Budget <br /> <br />Section 3. This resolution to take effect immediately upon adoption. <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 8th day <br />of October, 2001. <br /> <br />THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA <br /> <br />LA.
