<br />O"ty of Seward <br />janu;ny 8, 2002 <br /> <br />Call to Order <br /> <br />Planning Commk,ion Minutes <br />VolumeS, Page 249 <br /> <br />The January 8,2002, regular meeting of the Seward Planning and Zoning Commission was <br />called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Carol Griswold, Chair. <br /> <br />Opening Ceremony <br /> <br />Smith led the pledge of allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br /> <br />There were present: <br /> <br />Carol Griswold, presiding, and <br /> <br />Marianna Keil <br />Cindy Rook <br /> <br />Kristi Larson <br />Tom Smith <br /> <br />comprising a quorum of the Commission; and <br /> <br />Scott Janke, City Manager <br />Rachel James, Planner <br />Donna Glenz, Planning Clerk <br /> <br />Absent was: <br /> <br />Lynn HoW - excused <br /> <br />City Administration Report <br /> <br />Janke reported the following local projects had moved into the Governors budget for the 2003 <br />fiscal year: Gateway to Forest Acres water line extension grant, $ 396,600.00; Seward Airport <br />Master Plan, $450,000.00; Seward Dispatch Communications Upgrade, $ 74,540.00; Glacier View <br />Renovation, $ 1.8 million; 0 to 8 mile Reconstruction Project, $ 6.15 million. <br /> <br />James stated that a copy of the Environmental Assessment for a Multi-Agency Center being <br />proposed by Kenai Fjords National Park and the Chugach National Forest had been given to the <br />Commission and was available for the public to review. She stated the public comment period would <br />close February 1, 2002. She also noted the American Planning Association had a Planning <br />Commissioner Training Seminar scheduled for March 1, 2002 in Anchorage. <br /> <br />Citizens' Comments on Agenda Items Not Scheduled for Public Hearing and Items <br />Other Than Those on the Agenda - none <br />
