<br />City of Seward, Alaska <br />January 4, 2005 <br /> <br />Planning Commission Minutes <br />Volume 5, Page 479 <br /> <br />Call to order <br /> <br />The January 4, 2005 regular meeting of the Seward Planning & Zoning Commission was <br />called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Marianna Keil, Chair. <br /> <br />Opening Ceremony <br /> <br />Commissioner Griswold led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br /> <br />There were present: <br />Marianna Keil presiding, and <br /> <br />Caro I Griswold <br />Sandie Roach' <br /> <br />Lynn HoW <br />Tom Smith <br /> <br />comprising a quorum of the Commission; and <br /> <br />Malcolm Brown, Planner <br />Donna Glenz, Planning Assistant <br /> <br />One seat remained vacant <br /> <br />Absent Excused: <br /> <br />Kristi Larson <br /> <br />Special Reports & Presentations - None <br /> <br />City Administration Report <br /> <br />Planner, Malcolm Brown updated the Commission of the following business items: <br /> <br />* DOT draft Airport Master Plan was distributed to each Commissioner. <br />* The GIS consultant worked on the draft Land Use Plan and the current Zoning Map <br />during December and January. <br />* Brown noted that staff continued to work on support for the purchase of the 29 acres <br />adjacent to the Two Lakes Park to assist with the emergency access route and the <br />emergency preparedness program. He noted that staff had suggested a future work <br />session with Council. <br /> <br />Griswold requested a copy of the final determination letter for the Floodplain Appeal Hearing <br />for Afognak Construction. She also commented that the vacant position on the Commission had been <br />
