RESOLUTION 2005-13
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, APPROVING AN EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT WITH CLARK
CORBRIDGE FOR INTERIM CITY MANAGER SERVICES AND
APPROPRIATING $5,000 FROM THE GENERAL FUND FOR EXPENSES
WHEREAS, city manager Phil Shealy resigned effective March 1, 2005; and
WHEREAS, the city council accepted that resignation at their February 7 special meeting,
and directed administration to advertise for a replacement; and
WHEREAS, it was further decided at that meeting to hire an interim city manager rather
than burden in-house staff with an acting appointment; and
WHEREAS, the city council interviewed Clark Corbridge on February 16, 2005; and
WHEREAS, the city council selected a committee to enter into employment contract
negotiations with Corbridge.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA that:
Section 1. The city council appoints Clark Corbridge as interim city manager and authorized
acceptance of the attached interim city manager employment agreement.
Section 2. The amount of $5,000 is appropriated to cover moving expenses in lieu of
housing and per diem, from the General fund fund balance account No. 101-0-3050 to the city
manager miscellaneous expenses account No. 101-1120-5790.
Section 3. . This resolution shall take affect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 28th day of
February 2005.
