<br />CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA <br />PORT AND COMMERCE ADVISORY BOARD <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2001-02 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, PORT AND <br />COMMERCE ADVISORY BOARD, SUPPORTING THE EFFORTS OF THE <br />ALASKA PORK PROJECT, INC. IN SEEKING AND ACQUIRING FUNDS <br />FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF BUSINESS PLAN. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Alaska Pork Project, Inc. is currently seeking support for their efforts to obtain <br />funding to create a feasibility study and bankable business plan for developing a pig meat industry in <br />Alaska; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Port and Commerce Advisory Board recognizes the importance of <br />agriculture development and economic diversity in the State of Alaska; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, also recognized is the strength of the Dutch and Alaskan companies involved in <br />the emergence of this integrated high quality pork production project. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND RECOMMENDED BY THE PORT <br />AND COMMERCE ADVISORY BOARD OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that: <br /> <br />Efforts of the Alaska Pork Project, Inc. to acquire funding for the development of a bankable <br />business plan is recognized and supported. <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED by the City of Seward, Alaska, Port and Commerce Advisory <br />Board this 6th day of June, 2001. <br /> <br />~HE.. .
