<br />CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA <br />PORT AND COMMERCE ADVISORY BOARD <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2002-04 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, PORT AND <br />COMMERCE ADVISORY BOARD, RECOMMENDING NO INCREASE IN <br />HARBOR MOORAGE RATES. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Seward Small Boat Harbor (SSBH) generates a great economic <br />benefit to the City of Seward; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Personal Property Tax generated by the vessels in the SSBH is a large <br />source of revenue; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, all property taxes are City of Seward General Fund Revenues; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Seward General Fund receives revenue from the Fish Tax generated <br />by vessels using the SSBH; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, keeping the moorage rates at the same level in the SSBH may attract more <br />Commercial Vessels and Commercial Fishing Vessels to SSBH therefore helping the economy of <br />Seward. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND RECOMMENDED BY THE PORT <br />AND COMMERCE ADVISORY BOARD OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that: <br /> <br />Section 1.
