City of Seward, Alaska Planning Commission Minutes <br /> February 1, 2011 Volume 6, Page 4 2 0 <br /> Call to Order <br /> The February 1, 2011 Regular Meeting of the Seward Planning & Zoning Commission was <br /> called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Chair Roach'. <br /> Opening Ceremony <br /> Commissioner Roach' led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> Roll Call <br /> There were present: <br /> Sandie Roach' presiding, and <br /> Tena Morgan Dale Butts <br /> Steven Heinrich Scott Seabury <br /> comprising a quorum of the Commission; and <br /> Donna Glenz, City Planner <br /> Dwayne Atwood, Community Development Assistant <br /> Absent was: Cindy Ecklund <br /> City Administration Report <br /> City Planner Donna Glenz updated the Commission on the following business items: <br /> • Seward Fire Chief Dave Squires had been injured during a fire call and had been <br /> transported to Anchorage to receive treatment for an injured elbow. <br /> • Local resident Gene Bradley had suffered injury when she was struck by a car on Monday, <br /> January 31 and was transported to Anchorage to be treated for broken bones. <br /> • The Air Quality Monitoring Program was in progress, with samples being taken on a six - <br /> day schedule. Dwayne Atwood, of the Community Development Department, was <br /> overseeing the 12 -month project for the City. <br /> • The new Assistant City Manager had been hired. Michelle Weston was scheduled to begin <br /> work on Monday, February 7. <br /> • The next quarterly meeting with the Seward / Bear Creek Flood Service Area Board was <br /> scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1. <br /> • The Two Lakes Park replat had been completed, signed and recorded before the close of <br /> 2010. <br /> Other Reports, Announcements & Presentations — None <br /> Citizens' Comments on any subjexcept those items scheduled for Public Hearing - None <br />
