Sponsored by: Applicant <br /> CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA <br /> PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br /> RESOLUTION 2013 -02 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE SEWARD PLANNING AND ZONING <br /> COMMISSION, OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA GRANTING A SIX <br /> (6) MONTH EXTENSION TO FLOODPLAIN VARIANCE 2012 -01 ISSUED <br /> TO DENNIS AND PATRICIA PERRY TO CONSTRUCT AN AIRCRAFT <br /> HANGAR UP TO 4 FEET BELOW BASE FLOOD ELEVATION ON LOT 7, <br /> BLOCK 200 SEWARD AIRPORT, 2106 AIRPORT ROAD <br /> WHEREAS, on September 4, 2012 the Planning and Zoning Commission approved <br /> Resolution 2012 -06 granting Dennis and Patricia Perry a Floodplain Variance to construct an aircraft <br /> hangar on Seward Airport Lease Lot 7 Block 200, Seward Airport, leased from the State of Alaska, <br /> Department of Transportation; and <br /> WHEREAS, The Seward City Code (SCC) 15.10.325. (F) stipulates that the Commission <br /> may grant a time extension not to exceed six months upon finding that circumstances have not <br /> changed sufficiently since the date of the initial permit approval; and <br /> low WHEREAS, on January 7, 2013, Dennis Perry requested a six month extension of <br /> Floodplain Variance Permit 2012 -01, stating within the request there had been no change in the <br /> plans; and <br /> WHEREAS, The written request for extension was submitted to the Community <br /> Development Department prior to the expiration of the permit. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Seward Planning and Zoning <br /> Commission that: <br /> Section 1. The Commission finds that circumstances have not changed sufficiently to <br /> warrant reconsideration of the Floodplain Variance Permit issued to Dennis and Patricia Perry on <br /> September 14, 2012, to construct an aircraft hangar up to 4 feet below base flood elevation on Lot 7, <br /> Block 200 Seward Airport, 2106 Airport Road. <br /> Section 2. Floodplain Variance Permit 2012 -01 issued to Dennis and Patricia Perry on <br /> """ September 14, 2012 is hereby extended until September, 2013. <br />
