Call to Order <br /> The December 4, 2012 Regular Meeting of the Seward Planning & Zoning Commission <br /> was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Vice Chair Cindy Ecklund. <br /> Opening Ceremony <br /> Commissioner Butts led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> Roll Call <br /> There were present: <br /> Cindy Ecklund presiding, and <br /> Dale Butts Martha Fleming <br /> Bixler McClure <br /> comprising a quorum of the Commission; and <br /> Donna Glenz, City Planner <br /> % Dwayne Atwood, Planning Technician <br /> Excused was: Sandie Roach' and Tena Morgan <br /> City Administration Report <br /> City Planner Donna Glenz updated the Commission on the following business items: <br /> • Glenz noted that the Shell drillship Nobel Discoverer, with an estimated 70 employees, <br /> was in port for an undetermined duration. <br /> • City Council was scheduled to meet December 10 for the last meeting of the 2012 calendar <br /> year. <br /> • A PACAB meeting was scheduled for noon, December 5 in Council Chambers. <br /> • The next scheduled Planning and Zoning Commission meeting was slated for January 3, <br /> 2013. <br /> • Glenz noted that a copy of an historic letter was provided as an informational laydown for <br /> Commissioners. The letter, dated November 19, 1935 was addressed from Anthony J. <br /> Dimond, an Alaska Delegate to the U.S. House of Representatives, to former Sewardite <br /> Hilma Urie. The letter, which cited flooding of the Lowell Creek flume, was provided by <br /> Kenai Peninsula Borough Assembly member Sue McClure, Urie's granddaughter. <br /> �...
