Sponsored by: Applicant <br /> fir..• <br /> CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA <br /> PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br /> RESOLUTION 2013 -06 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION OF <br /> THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, RECOMMENDING KENAI <br /> PENINSULA BOROUGH APPROVAL OF THE PRELIMINARY REPLAT <br /> OF LOTS 1 AND 2, BLOCK 4, ORIGINAL TOWNSITE OF SEWARD, OLD <br /> SOLLY'S REPLAT, CREATING ONE LOT TO BE KNOWN AS LOT 1A, <br /> LOCATED AT 411 WASHINGTON STREET <br /> WHEREAS, Cline and Associates Land Surveyors submitted a preliminary plat to the City <br /> of Seward for review and recommendation to the Kenai Peninsula Borough; and <br /> WHEREAS, this replat combines the two (2) existing lots — Lots 1 and 2, Block 4, Original <br /> Townsite of Seward, into one (1) new lot to be known as Lot 1 A; and <br /> WHEREAS, Lot 1A will consist of 2,756 square feet; and <br /> WHEREAS, this parcel contains a single structure, constructed in 1916, which encroaches <br /> into the public Right of Way on the North, South and West; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City has reviewed these encroachments and is in the process of issuing an <br /> encroachment permit; and <br /> WHEREAS, the property is zoned Central Business District; and <br /> WHEREAS, the property is currently serviced by municipal water, sewer, electric and other <br /> utilities; therefore a subdivision installation agreement is not required for this replat. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Seward Planning and Zoning <br /> Commission that: <br /> Section 1. The Commission recommends the Kenai Peninsula Borough approve the Seward <br /> Original Townsite, Old Solly's Replat, combining Lots 1 and 2, Block 4, into one (1) new lot to be <br /> known ias Lot 1A, of approximately 2,756 square feet. <br />
