City of Seward, Alaska City Council Minutes <br /> Februcuy 10, 2014 Volume 39, Page 273 <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> The February 10, 2014 regular meeting of the Seward City Council was called to order at <br /> 7:00 p.m. by Mayor Jean Bardarson. <br /> OPENING CEREMONY <br /> Lieutenant Louis Tiner led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> There were present: <br /> Jean Bardarson presiding and <br /> Marianna Keil Ristine Casagranda <br /> Christy Terry David Squires <br /> Dale Butts <br /> comprising a quorum of the Council; and <br /> Jim Hunt, City Manager <br /> Johanna Kinney, City Clerk <br /> Cheryl Brooking, City Attorney <br /> Absent— None <br /> Vacant— One <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS ON ANY SUBJECT EXCEPT THOSE ITEMS SCHEDULED FOR <br /> PUBLIC HEARING <br /> Jim Herbert stated tax services were currently being offered at the Seward Senior Center. <br /> The student exchange application period was open and Herbert encouraged students to apply. He <br /> referred to his Prince William Sound Regional Citizens' Advisory Council (PWSRCAC) report in <br /> the packet tonight and would be happy to answer any questions. Herbert hoped council would agree <br /> to issue the support letter to recertify the PWSRCAC. There was an anniversary presentation of the <br /> Exxon Valdez Oil Spill planned for March 6, 2014 at the Alaska SeaLife Center. <br /> Bob Reisner stated it appeared Public Works seemed to be lacking a maintenance schedule <br /> for the Lowell Point Treatment Plant. He felt if Public Works had a maintenance plan and held to it, <br /> it would prevent the problems like the city was currently faced with. Reisner hoped the different <br /> parties involved could work together and council would consider implementing a maintenance plan. <br /> APPROVAL OF AGENDA AND CONSENT AGENDA <br /> L. <br /> Motion (Keil/Terry) Approval of Agenda and Consent Agenda <br />
