City of Seward, Alaska Planning Commission Minutes <br /> July 15, 2014 Volume 7, Page 93 <br /> Call to Order <br /> The July 15, 2014 Special Meeting of the Seward Planning & Zoning Commission was <br /> called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chair Cindy Ecklund. <br /> Opening Ceremony <br /> Commissioner Coulter led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> Roll Call <br /> There were present: <br /> Cindy Ecklund presiding, and <br /> Martha Fleming Janet Coulter <br /> Christopher Edgar <br /> comprising a quorum of the Commission; and <br /> Donna Glenz, City Planner <br /> Dwayne Atwood, Planning Technician <br /> City Administration Report <br /> City Planner Donna Glenz updated the Commission on the following business items: <br /> • An amendment to the City Code allowing mobile and roving vendors to operate on City <br /> land had been completed. One vendor application had been provided by the City Clerk's <br /> office, Glenz said. <br /> • Planning and Zoning Commission Vice-Chair Bixler McClure had resigned in May and his <br /> useful service to the Commission was noted. <br /> • Community Development staff continued to prepare for a 2014 inspection by FEMA to <br /> evaluate the administration of required floodplain development regulations. The summer <br /> site visit had tentatively been set for August 5. <br /> • Draft coastal zone maps issued by FEMA had been made accessible on the City web site. <br /> The Kenai Peninsula Borough adoption process had been initiated, Glenz said. The local <br /> community was also beginning the review and adoption process, Glenz noted. <br /> Other Reports,Announcements & Presentations—None <br /> Citizens' Comments on any subject except those items scheduled for Public Hearing—None <br />
