City of Seward,Alaska %pilaff/9 <br /> City Council Minutes <br /> December 8, 2014 Volume 39,Page <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> The December 8, 2014 regular meeting of the Seward City Council was called to order at <br /> 7:00 p.m.by Mayor Jean Bardarson. <br /> OPENING CEREMONY <br /> Lieutenant Doreen Valadez led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> There were present: <br /> Jean Bardarson presiding and <br /> Marianna Keil Ristine Casagranda <br /> David Squires Iris Darling <br /> Dale Butts <br /> comprising a quorum of the Council; and <br /> Jim Hunt, City Manager <br /> Johanna Kinney, City Clerk <br /> Brenda Ballou, Deputy City Clerk <br /> Absent—Christy Terry <br /> CITIZEN COMMENTS ON ANY SUBJECT EXCEPT THOSE ITEMS SCHEDULED FOR <br /> PUBLIC HEARING <br /> Tim McDonald reminded council about the baseline trail and encouraged them to preserve it <br /> into the future. <br /> Sara McDonald was representing the Save Our Seward("SOS")Pets and was appreciative <br /> of the support the group received at the Holiday Craft Fair this weekend.They had accumulated over <br /> 130 letters of support from the public for a new animal shelter. <br /> APPROVAL OF AGENDA AND CONSENT AGENDA <br /> Motion (Keil/Casagranda) Approval of Agenda and Consent Agenda <br /> Darling put Resolutions 2014-097, 2014-098, 2014-099, and 2014-100 onto the consent agenda. <br /> Keil requested to postpone council's AML Reports to the January 12, 2015 meeting. <br /> Motion Passed Unanimous <br /> The clerk read the following approved consent agenda items: <br />
