CALL TO ORDER
The December 9,2015 regular meeting of the Port and Commerce Advisory Board was called
to order at 12:00 p.m. by Vice Chair Darryl Schaefermeyer.
OPENING CEREMONY
Andrews led the pledge of allegiance to the flag.
ROLL CALL
There were present:
Darryl Schaefermeyer presiding, and
Bob Linville Brooke Andrews
Daniel Oliver Carl Hughes
Excused—Bruce Jaffa, Christy Terry
Comprising a quorum of the Council; and

Norm Regis, Harbor Master
Matt Chase, Deputy Harbormaster

SPECIAL ORDERS,PRESENTATIONS AND REPORTS
Alaska Railroad Report—Louis Bencardino reported that things are slowing down. Bencardino
told board that he was retiring; his last day will be January 9, 2016.
Chamber of Commerce Report—Report given electronically.
Harbormaster Report—Norm Regis updated board on his Marine Expo trip. Regis reported that
they handed out 38 surveys.
Administration Report—None
CITIZENS' COMMENTS ON ANY SUBJECT EXCEPT THOSE ITEMS SCHEDULED
FOR PUBLIC HEARING
Troy Tacker Project Manager with Vigor wanted to introduce himself to the Board and give a general
update on Vigor's plans.
Mike Ritz Project Management/Consultant with Alaska Marine Coatings introduced himself to the
Board. Ritz would like to see Seward offer more Marine Services.
