From: Tanya Sandefur 218 Marathon Dr. Seward Alaska I would like to thank all, from the top and bottom of my heart, who were involved in the making and completion of the Seward Small Boat Harbor boardwalk which now extends, north from Port Ave.and south to the boat ramp. Special kudos to those at the Seward Harbor Masters office also the City Council, the City Managers past and present, Planning and Zoning Dept., the Alaska Railroad Real Estate Dept.,and the residents of Seward. The Boardwalk has enhanced, beautified, contributed, and allowed, many people to further enjoy the awesome atmosphere of Seward)Alaska,to include the businesses along its path and now the connection from the Railroad Depot and Cruise Ship walkways. All it needs now is"something" to catch the eye of the people, and invite them to walk"Seward's Boardwalk" at both the North and South ends, such as... flowers, an inviting sign over the Boardwalk, crosswalks, painted footprints, information display etc. etc. Also to include"something"that will notify walkers when they reach "Rays",that it does continue around the restaurant. And hopefully someday, the boardwalk will be rerouted on the harbor side of"Rays"as it is at the"Chinooks" restaurant. I am asking the City Council to involve the Alaska Railroad Corp. Real Estate Dept.to contribute to this final addition as a large portion of the boardwalk is also on railroad property which was financed and built by its tenants. Sincerely...Thank You, A-7- `--C-r-ed--/41-1- Tanya Sandefur (Email) Alaska Railroad Real Estate Dept./James Kubitz ..,....www,..
