CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 80-5
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FOR THE SOLE SOURCE
PURCHASE OF A MICROWAVE ASSOCIATES
VR-3 TV RECEIVER
WHEREAS, the State of Alaska is providing total funding for the
equipment and installation of a Satellite Earth Station to receive TV; and
WHEREAS, the State of Alaska has all equipment irnmediatel~
available for the installation less the VR-3 Receiver; and
WHEREAS, normal procurement schedules will delay the operation of
the Earth Station without the VR-3 receiver; and
WHEREAS, the State of Alaska will reimburse the City of Seward for
purchase of the VR-3 receiver; and
WHEREAS, the Microwave Associates VR-3 Receiver proposed for
purchase is the same as purchased by the State of Alaska for Hydaburg,
Alaska; and
WHEREAS, Microwave Associates has the VR-3 Receiver, available for
shipment within two weeks;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, authorizes the Sole Source Purchase of one (1) Microwave
Associates, VR-3 Receiver, for $3,125.00 plus freight. It is further
understood this cost will be reimbursed from funds appropriated by the State
of Alaska for this project.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, this 14th day of January, 1980.
