CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 80-8
A RESOLUTION COMMITTING THE CITY OF
SEWARD TO ESTABLISH AN INDUSTRIAL
COST RECOVERY SYSTEM WHEN REQUIRED
WHEREAS, the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency requires an
Industrial Cost Recovery System to be adopted by the City of Seward prior to
the award of any U. S. Environmental Protection Agency construction grant;
and
WHEREAS, at the present time it has been determined that there is no
need for an Industrial Cost Recovery System within the City of Seward; and
WHEREAS, at such time as an appropriate industry requests sewer ser-
vice within the City of Seward, the City of Seward shall develop and adopt an
industrial Cost Recovery System for the City of Seward:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the City Council of Seward, Alaska
resolves:
Section 1. That at such time as industrial wastes, as defined under
Section 3 5.905 of the Construction Grant Regulations 40 CFR Part 35, are
discharged to the City of Seward Treatment Plant, to be constructed under an
EPA grant, the City of Seward shall develop and adopt an industrial cost
recovery system acceptable to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. This
cost recovery system shall comply with the requirements of PL 92.500 and all
regulations and quidelines pertaining thereto.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
