We will be enrolling our two young children Lena (13)and Ava (10)in school here next week. While this was a big decision for us as we are leaving a lot behind,we are both committed to this decision. My primary base of operation will be at the Seward shipyard facility, and with my wife working here as well,we will be pulling all the administrative functions in-house up here as well. While we are pleased with the performance to date here,we expect there will be an immediate improvement moving forward as we will have a principal of JAG Alaska here full-time.We believe this was a necessary step in showing everyone from our employees to the community that we are committed to the long term growth and success of this facility. I look forward to catching up with you guys when you have time and/or just bumping into you on the street. Also feel free to stop by the yard anytime...We have a lot of work lined up already now thru June of 2020,we are hoping to have the USCG SPAR back in for an emergency dry- docking the 20th of this month, as well as possibly the USCG Fir in December and the USCG Hickory in January. While the majority of our work continues to come from the commercial side, the USCG work helps pay the bills and keep steady employment. One of my primary goals now that I am here full-time will be to get 90%of our employee base being Alaska Residents with in the next 48 months. We believe based on the last 15 months up here that our average employment level will probably run around 70 people. If both or either of you have any comments, issues or concerns on the operation to date or moving forward, I would welcome your feedback, just let me know.
