RESOWTION NO. 152
A RESOWTION DETERMINING THE MEI'HOD OF APPLEATION OF PAYIvlENTS RH:EIVED
ON REAL AND PERSONAL PROPERTY TAXES.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Conmon Council of the City of Seward, Alaska, that
pursuant to the provisions of the Chapter 174 of the Session Laws of
Alaska for the Year 1957 that Payments on all taxes, penalty and interest
will be applied as follows: fo'irst the penalty, interest, all other col-
lection costs, and tax on the oldest delinquent personal property taxes
and next the penalty, interest, all other collection costs, and tax on
the oldest delinquent real property taxes. The same priority of applica-
tion of payment shall also be followed on current tax bills, i.e. payment
of personal property taxes first.
An emergency is hereby declared to exist and the rules governing the
passage of ordinances and resolutions are hereby suspended and this
Resolution is hereby given immediate effect upon its passage and approval.
