RESOLUTION 2003-007
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, ACCEPTING A 7,882 GRANT FROM THE RASMUSON
FOUNDATION FOR THE SEWARD COMMUNITY LIBRARY AND
APPROPRIATE FUNDS
WHEREAS, the Seward Community Library junior/young adult shelving needed to be
replaced by taller and wider units to accommodate both the larger book size and growing quantity of
books; and
WHEREAS, the Seward Community Library Director submitted a grant proposal to
Rasmuson Foundation to build new shelving; and
WHEREAS, the Rasmuson Foundation granted the library request for new shelving; and
WHEREAS, the City of Seward received a check from Rasmuson Foundation for $7882.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA that:
Section 1. The City Council of Seward accepts the grant to the General Fund Library Grant
Revenues account 101-0000-4360-0040 in the amount of $7882 from Rasmuson Foundation to
purchase library shelving.
Section 2. The amount of$7882 is appropriated to the Library Small Tools and Equipment
account number 101-1500-5460.
Section 3. This resolution shall take affect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Seward, Alaska, this 13th day of
January 13, 2003
