A RESOLUTION PRO\.'IDING, FOR LICENSING
OF THE FOURTH AVENUE DOCK
WHEREAS, the CITY OF SEWARD is the owner of the
Fourth Avenue Dock, and
WHEREAS, the Ordinanc~of the CITY OF SEWARD provide
for the sale or other disposition of real property owned by
the CITY OF SEWARD, which is not dedicated to any public use,
and the subject property is not dedicated to any public use,
and
WHEREAS, the Ordinances provide that the Council may,
by motion passed, find that the public interest will not be
served by license granted for use of said subject property
either by auction or sealpd bid, and
WHEREAS, Council has determined that

public interest will be served by a negotiated license for use
of the property granteJ to NORTHERN STEVEDORING & HANDLING
CORPORATION, and
WHEREAS, the Ordinances of the CITY OF SEWARD provide
that Council may authorize the City Manager to negotiate a lease
of real property by Resolution duly enacted,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA:
Section 1. That it is in the public interest to grant

& HANDLING CORPORATION; all provisions with reference to public
advertisement for lease or licensing of the property are hereby
declared to be not in the public interest.
Section 2. That the City Manager is authorized and
directed to negotiate th~ license for use of said dock in
accordance with the Ordinances of the City of Seward and sub-
stantially in accordance with the proposed license attached
hereto, and to do all things necessary to consummate said
license agreement, and the proper city officials are authorized
and directed to execute the same.
Section 3. That this Resolution shall be filed and
published as in the case of Resolutions for public sale of
property and the lease shall not be executed until said
Resolution has been on file in the office of the Clerk for
thirty (30) days.
