HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes1970-788 CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA RESOLDT ION NO. 788 A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE CONVEYANCE OF ADDITIONAL JESSE LEE HOME PROPERTY WHEREAS, the City of Seward has been quitclaimed by the Women's Division of the Board of Missions of the United Methodist Church the following described property: Lots Thirty-Eight (38), Thirty-Nine (39), and Forty (40) of the Terminal Addition to the City of Seward, Seward Recording District, Third Judicial District, State of Alaska, and WHEREAS, the ordinances of the City of Seward provide for the sale or other disposition of real property owned by the City of Seward, which is not dedicated to any public use, and the subject property is not dedicated to any public use, and WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 787, the City of Seward has accepted the bid and development plans for the Jesse Lee Home site submitted by the Development Corporation of North America, and WHEREAS, the above-mentioned property is property upon which the Jesse Lee Home physically encroached, thus creating a possession in the Women's Division of the Board of Missions of the United Methodist Church that was adverse to any previous owners. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA: Section 1. That it is in the public interest to quit- claim this property to the Development Corporation of North America, under the same conditions and possibility of reverter as authorized in Resolution No. 787, and as a part of that transaction. Section 2. That the City Manager is authorized and directed to negotiate the quitclaiming of said property in accordance with the ordinances of the City of Seward, and with Resolution No. 787; and the proper city officials are authorized and directed to execute any documents which may be required. , .L........ That this resolution shall be filed and published as in the case of resolutions for public sale of property, and the sales document shall not be executed until said resolution has been on file in the office of the Clerk for thirty (30) days.
