RESOLUTION NO. 791
A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE
SALE OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY
WHEREAS, the City of Seward is the owner of the following
described property:
Lot Nineteen (19), Block Two (2), JESSE LEE
HEIGHTS SUBDIVISION, City of Seward, Seward
Recording District, Third Judicial District,
State of Alaska, hereinafter called Parcel A,
and
Lots One (1) through Ten (10), and Twenty-
Six (26) through Forty (40), inclusive,
Block Twenty-Two (22), ORIGINAL TOWNSITE of
the Citym Seward, Seward Recording District,
Third Judicial District, State of Alaska,
hereinafter called Parcel B,
and
WHEREAS, these parcels having been repurchased by off-
set bid of the City of Seward at a deed of trust foreclosure
sale on the 18th day of May, 1970, and
WHEREAS, the ordinances of the City of Seward provide
for the sale or other disposition of real property owned by
the City of Seward, which is not dedicated to any public use,
and the subject property is not dedicated to any public use,
and
WHEREAS, the ordinances provide that the Council may,
by motion passed, find that the public interest will not be
served by the sale of said property either by auction or sealed
bid, and
WHEREAS, Council has determined that the public interest
will not be served by public auction or sealed bid, but that the
public interest will be served by a negotiated sale of the said
parcels as follows:
(1) Parcel A to be sold to Mr. Gilman for the amount
of One Thousand Eighty-Eight Dollars and Thirty-Four Cents
($1,088.34) with a ten percent (10%) down payment, and five (5)
annual payments totaling Nine Hundred Seventy-Nine Dollars and

Fifty-One Cents ($979.51) at five percent (5%) interest, these
terms being the same as used in the sale of other residential
property in Jesse Lee Heights, and
(2) Parcel B will be sold to Seward Fisheries, Inc.
for the purpose of construction of multi-family residential
units thereon, for the amount of Fourteen Thousand Seven
Hundred Dollars ($14,700.00) with a ten percent (10%) down
payment, and annual payments of Two Thousand Six Hundred Forty-
six Dollars ($2,646.00).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALAS KA :
Section 1. That it is in the public interest to sell
said property to the purchasers and under the terms described
above; all provisions with reference to public advertisement
for the sale of said property are hereby declared to be not
in the public interest.
Section 2. That the City Manager is authorized and
directed to negotiate the sale of said property in accordance
with the ordinances of the City of Seward, and to do all things
necessary to consummate said sales agreements, and the proper
City officials are authorized and directed to execute the same.
Section 3. That this resolution shall be filed and
published as required by Ordinance No. 315, and the sales
documents shall not be executed until said resolution has been
on file in the office of the City Clerk for thirty (30) days.
