A RESOLUTION l~OVIDING FOR LEASE OF
REAL PROPERTY
WHEREAS, the CITY OF SEWARD is the owner of the
following described real property within the CITY OF SEWARD:
All of Tracts 3 and 4, City of Seward Water-
front Tracts, as shown on the survey of same
prepared by Hewett V. Lounsbury and Associates,
dated September 1, 1969, and presently filed
with the City of Seward City Clerk.
WHEREAS, the Ordinances of the CITY OF SEWARD provide
for the sale or other disposition of real property owned by
the CITY OF SEWARD, which is not dedicated to any public use,
and the subject property is not dedicated to any public use,

WHEREAS, Council has determined that the public interestl
will not be served by pub]ic auction or sealed bid, but that the I

WHEREAS, the ordinances provide that the Council may,
i by motion passed, find that the public interest will not be
served bv lease of said subject property either by auction or
sealed bid, and
public interest will be served by a negotiated lease of the
property to Northern Stevedoring & Handling Corporation, and
WHEREAS, the Ordinances of the CITY OF SEWARD provide
that Council may' authorize the City Manager to negotiate a lease
, of real property by Resolution duly enacted,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
, THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA:

Section 1. That it is in the public interest to lease
the parcel of real property herein described to NORTHERN
STEVEDORING & HANDLING CORPORATION; all provisions with reference
to public advertisement for lease of the property are hereby
declared to be not in the public interest.
Section 2. That the City Manager is authorized and
directed to negotiate the lease of said parcel in accordance
with the proposed lease attached hereto, and to do all things
necessary to consummate said lease, and the proper city officials
are authorized and directed to execute the lease.
Section 3. That this Resolution shall be filed and
published as in the case of Resolutions for public sale of
property and the lease shall not be executed until said
Resolution has been on file in the office of the Clerk for
thirty (30) days.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of
