HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes2002-016 I I I Sponsored by: Janke CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA RESOLUTION 2002-016 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO APPROPRIATE AN ADDITIONAL $7,307.27 FROM THE EXXON VALDEZ OIL SPILL SETTLEMENT ACCOUNT TO THE LIBRARY SIDING CAPITAL PROJECT, CONTRACTED SERVICES ACCOUNT, IN ORDER TO PROVIDE SUFFICIENT FUNDING TO COMPLETE THE $71,800 PROJECT PREVIOUSLY AUTHORIZED BY COUNCIL AND PAY THE ADMINISTRATIVE (OVERHEAD) EXPENSES WHEREAS, the City of Seward contracted with Swenson Construction Company to re-side the Library and install 11 new replacement windows at a cost of$71,800; and WHEREAS, the original Resolution did not request funding for the 10% overhead of the $71,800 ($7,180) and a small advertisement of$115.71 plus 10% overhead ($11.57) for the project, totaling $7,307.28. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that: Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to appropriate $7,307.28 from the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill Settlement Account No. 101-0000-4630. to the Library Siding Capital Project, contracted services account No. 305-3051-5390, to provide enough funds to complete the project and pay for the overhead expenses Section 2. This resolution to take effect immediately upon adoption. PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 11 th day of, February, 2002..
