RESOLUTION 2000-001
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, APPROPRIATING $1,000 FROM THE GENERAL FUND FUND
BALANCE TO CLOSE OUT THE PROJECT FUND FOR EMERGENCY
SHELTER SUPPLIES
WHEREAS, the State of Alaska provided a Capital Matching Grant in FY1994 to the City
of Seward for the purpose of purchasing emergency shelter supplies with a total budget of $26,500
of which the State would provide $22,393 and the City would provide $4,107; and
WHEREAS, the project was completed as of June 30, 1999; and
WHEREAS, Council Resolution No. 94-020 only transferred $3,107 to the Emergency
Shelter Supplies Project Fund; and
WHEREAS, based on FY94's accounting policies the $1,000 oflabor would be charged to
the Fire Department budget; and
WHEREAS, due to changes in accounting policy the labor of$I,OOO was charged directly
to the grant fund; and
WHEREAS, the Emergency Shelter Supplies Project Fund is over budget by $1,000 due to
the change of accounting policy and project manager;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. An appropriation in the amount of$I,OOO be made from the General Fund fund
balance, account no. 101-0000-3070-0290 to the project fund for Emergency Shelter Supplies,
Salaries & Labor, account no. 290-2900-XXXX to close out the project.
Section 2. The appropriation shall be retroactive to the six-month accounting period ending
December 3 1, 1999.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 10th
day ofJanuary, 2000.
